David Ortiz and Pellerano & Herrera formalize agreement

Former Major League player - who is in the country for the first time after last June’s incident - considered it an honor to have the accompaniment of Pellerano & Herrera, a highly prestigious international firm, to represent him in court.


SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic- December 10, 2019. David Ortiz, former Dominican Major League player, and renowned firm Pellerano & Herrera formalized this Monday, the agreement whereby the law firm will represent the baseball player in the criminal proceedings followed by the attack against him on June 9, 2019.


For these purposes, Ortiz held a meeting with Pellerano & Herrera’s managing partner, Ricardo Pellerano, with whom he signed the legal representation agreement. They were accompanied by partner and manager of the litigation team, Lucy Objío.


The former Major League player - who is in the country for the first time after last June’s incident - considered it an honor to have the accompaniment of Pellerano & Herrera, a highly prestigious international firm to represent him in court.


Pellerano reiterated his gratitude to David Ortiz and the trust deposited in the firm. He assured he will make available all resources and experience of the firm to achieve the objectives pursued by the mandate received from the former Major League player.


A team of lawyers from Pellerano & Herrera is already working on the procedures and strategies of the case that has touched Dominican society and attracted the attention of the international community, especially baseball fans.
