Biography

Ramón Luciano joined the firm in 1996 as manager of the firm’s Santiago office. In 2009, he transfered to the Santo Domingo office as senior counsel in the banking department. Currently he is a Special Counsel and head of the Real Estate practice. He has over 30 years of experience in the law, and advises clients on corporate, banking, contracts and real estate law.

Ramón has vast experience providing advice to Dominican banks in mortgage financing and contracts and on the laws and regulations affecting real estate transactions. During his career, Ramón has worked in public and private institutions including the Tax District Attorney’s Office of Santiago, as well as in several leading banking institutions, where he was in charge of their legal departments.

Ramón received his Bachelor of Laws and Master’s in Corporate and Commercial Law from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in 1987 and 1999, respectively. Ramón has attended courses and seminars on issues related to land registration, real estate embargoes and real estate law, among other subjects. He is a member of the Dominican Bar Association and the Dominican Notary Public Association, and is fluent in Spanish and French.
