in celebration of its 70th anniversary
P&H LawNext is a space created to share trending and innovative topics in the legal
sector with its alumni, clients and the legal community.
In celebration of its 70th anniversary, Pellerano & Herrera launched on Thursday, February 16, the first
session of P&H LawNext.
To commemorate such an important date, Pellerano & Herrera has developed a broad schedule of
activities which commenced with the launch of P&H LawNext. Through this initiative, created as a space
to share trending and innovative topics in the legal sector, the firm intends to continue its legacy of
cultivating the Dominican legal heritage, and contributing to education in the legal sector and society in
general.
In this inaugural discussion on “Public Trusts: Best Practices for their Use and Management”, a topic that
has been in the public arena and that concerns all Dominicans, top-level panelists participated, including
Joel Santos, Minister of the Presidency of the Dominican Republic; Sigmund Freund, Executive Director of
the General Directorate of Public-Private Partnerships; and, Christian Molina, Executive President of the
Association of Dominican Trusts. The panel was moderated by Carolina León, partner at P&H.
Corporate counsel of renowned companies in the country, members of the P&H Alumni Circle, clients of
the firm and personalities from the fiduciary world attended the event.
Welcoming remarks were given by Ricardo Pellerano, managing partner of P&H who stated, “Today we
look to the future, preparing ourselves for the coming decades in a world that moves at breakneck speed,
and which, especially after the pandemic, has forced our sector to adapt quickly to significant changes.”
Pellerano commented that this year will be one of great changes for the firm and this initiative is the first
of many innovative activities that it will carry out in celebration of its anniversary year. “This is not strange
for us, because being avant garde has always been part of our firm’s DNA, and we are relying on
technology to face these new challenges.”
