Areas of Practice
Luis Pellerano concentrates his practice in Banking Law, Corporate, Free Trade Agreements, Energy, Telecommunications Law, Mining, Tourism, Foreign Investment, Intellectual Property and Dispute Resolutions.
Experience
Partner in charge of the foreign investment and international practice group of the firm, he has substantial experience counseling established and emerging enterprises in highly-regulated industries, such as energy, mining, pharmaceutical and financial services companies. His practice also calls upon to advise on organizational structure, corporate and securities law, with a particular emphasis on international project development and finance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate finance.
He has counseled leading international financial institutions in the project financing of major economic groups in the Dominican Republic. Acted as local counsel for foreign and local banks and companies in the most important debt restructuring deals in Dominican Republic, which include the structuring, drafting and negotiating loan agreements and securities.
Assisted several multinational companies in their entry process to the Dominican Market, as well as in the international financing of high profile operations, such as the issuance of commercial papers and Soberain bonds in both the American and European markets; also participated in the registration of the first Dominican company listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
Recently, the U.S. Commercial Services in the country granted Luis R. Pellerano the Star Partner Award for Supportive Partner, for his continuous support to all the activities of the Office aimed to strengthening the business relationships between both countries.

- Counseling The Trump Organization in a luxury real estate project of over US$2 billion to be developed in the eastern region of the country.
- Installation of major infrastructure projects in the country such as:
