Biography

Marisela Lithgow joined Pellerano & Herrera in 2006 as Knowledge Management Director. She has over 20 years of experience, and currently is working as a human resources and knowledge management consultant for the firm, as well as for other local and international companies.

Marisela has extensive knowledge about consulting, design and implementation of human resources subsystems, as well as recruitment, selection, psychological assessment, performance evaluation, opinion surveys and action plans for improvement. She has implemented salary studies and designed compensation structures and job description manuals as well as human resources policies, studies of organizational climate and culture and assessments to detect training needs for employees.

During her professional career, she was Human Resources Manager for Chiquita Brand International in the Dominican Republic (FRUDOCA), Caribbean Data Services and MC Todo Casa. She worked for Hanes Caribe, Inc. (Sara Lee Branded Apparel) for 10 years, as Human Resources Director for the Caribbean. She conducted human resources audits for the ONAP in 2006 and for the Dominican Republic Navy in 2010.

Marisela is an undergraduate and graduate professor at the Universidad Iberoamericana, APEC, and the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra in Santo Domingo and Santiago, Dominican Republic. Marisela was president of the Seventh Congress of Human Resource Managers conducted in June 2005 and vice president of the Board of the Dominican Association of Human Resources Managers (ADOARH) in 2006. She is currently certified in competency-based evaluation tests from Saville Consulting, PDA International, Central Test, which she represents in the country.

Marisela studied Clinical and Industrial Psychology at the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña in 1980. She undertook post-graduate studies in Human Resource Management in Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo (INTEC) in 1995. In addition, Marisela completed Master’s in Strategic Direction of Human Resources degrees from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra and the EOI in Madrid, Spain, in 2003, and in Knowledge Management from EOI Madrid, Spain, in 2008. Marisela also earned a Doctorate in Interventions and Diagnostics of Human Resources from Atlantic International University (AIU) in the United States in 2012. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
