This November, Pellerano & Herrera, the leading law firm in the Dominican Republic, celebrates 58 years of uninterrupted legal practice. Pellerano & Herrera was founded on November 20, 1952 by Dr. Juan Manuel Pellerano and Dr. Manuel Pittaluga, under the name Pellerano & Pittaluga. With the addition of Dr. Hipólito Herrera Pellerano in 1963, the company adopted the name Pellerano, Pittaluga & Herrera. Years later, Dr. Pittaluga retired from law practice, and the name was again changed to the better known, Pellerano & Herrera. Over the years, the firm has undergone several changes, such as the relocation of its headquarters, the diversification of its services, the strengthening of its administrative and information systems, all these, for the purpose of providing the best legal solutions to their customers. In the seventies, the firm expanded the list of services offered to include new ones and diversified its clientele.

In the eighties, Pellerano & Herrera began their positioning as leaders in the market and in the nineties, began the process of digitizing its information systems and the automation of some services. Its founder, Juan Manuel Pellerano, is known among colleagues and clients as "the lawyer of lawyers" and "the best and most respected lawyer in exercise of the Dominican Republic." The generation of lawyers that currently leads the firm, headed by its managing partner, Mr. Ricardo A. Pellerano, has the merit of positioning it at the top of the market, a position that it has occupied for more than 20 years, promoting the incorporation of best practices in management, new technologies, diversification, specialization and national and international expansion.

The firm has steadily participated in international transactions involving acquisitions, joint ventures, project finance, and tax planning, among others. It has also participated in the entry process to the Dominican market of important multinational companies, as well as in the international financing of high value operations, such as bond issuances and acquisitions of several major companies from different industry sectors.
