Pellerano & Herrera participates in a seminar for the first Canadian Trade Mission to the Dominican Republic
Published on:During the first Canadian Trade Mission to the Dominican Republic and Haiti, led by the Honorable Canadian Minister of National Defense and Minister of State of Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, and La Francophonie, Mr. Bernard Valcourt, the Canadian Embassy in the Dominican Republic celebrated on September 3rd several seminars and activities to increase and strengthen the trade relationship between Canada, the Dominican Republic and Haiti.
The event was attended by important business personalities from both Canada and the Dominican Republic, such as Mr. Alain Gauthier, from Export Development of Canada, Luc Allary, Regional Director of the Canadian Commercial Corporation; the Minister of Economy of the Dominican Republic and representatives of CEI-RD, body that regulates exports and foreign investment in the Dominican Republic. These delegates exposed several topics related to the investment climate in the Dominican Republic and the future plans for the country's economic development. Pellerano & Herrera was invited as a guest speaker to hold a conference by Mariangela Pellerano, partner of the firm, on the main economic and legal aspects to take into account when doing business in Dominican Republic. Ms. Pellerano spoke about the new laws, legal innovations and changes that foreign companies should consider when establishing in the country.
