Pellerano & Herrera donates IT equipment to the Specialized Port Security Corps (CESP)
Published on:Santo Domingo As part of the firm’s corporate social responsibility program, Pellerano & Herrera made a formal donation of IT equipment to the Specialized Port Security Corps (CESP) on June 6th, 2013. CESP is the organization that provides assistance to the Dominican Port Authority (APORTDOM) in the defense and protection of the country’s ports.
Currently, the institution is facing technological challenges which limit their possibility to carry out their day to day operations seamlessly. In order to collaborate and ameliorate the institution’s performance and development, Pellerano & Herrera donated the following: three (3) high performance Dell servers, a KVM (management console server), power strips and network cables, which will enable them to create a network of users, register users based on their responsibilities and share resources like printers, scanners, internet access, etc.
The donation was granted in the offices of CESP to Captain Manuel E. Rodríguez Medina by Alejandro Flaviá, Business and Technology Director of the firm. In the past, Pellerano & Herrera has sponsored many donations to various institutions and associations in the country and continues to do so, focused on the firm’s belief to contribute to the education and development of the Dominican Republic by specific solidarity actions and programs that encourage private investment, active defense of human rights, respect for the environment and education.
