Corporate social responsibility

In Pellerano & Herrera, we believe in the creation of shared social value. We do not conceive the firm’s success without the success of the country we serve. For this reason, we are committed to the development of the Dominican Republic, which we promote through the encouragement of private investment—both domestic and foreign—the active defense of human rights, respect for the environment, contributions to education, donations, and concrete actions of social solidarity.

We participated in the advocacy for compliance with the 4% of GDP allocation to education in the Dominican Republic, serving as part of the legal representation of the Coalición Educación Digna in 2010 and 2011, seeking justice and the enforcement of the budget law.

Following the collapse of the Jet Set nightclub in April 2025—one of the deadliest tragedies in the recent history of the Dominican Republic, which resulted in 235 fatalities and left approximately 174 children and adolescents orphaned—Pellerano & Herrera launched a pro bono legal assistance program aimed at the families, guardians, and caregivers of the affected minors.

The initiative consisted of accessible public resources, including legal guides, webinars, and podcast episodes addressing topics such as guardianship, inheritance, insurance, pensions, child migration, and the comprehensive protection of minors’ rights.

The only firm with a formal alumni group, the P&H Alumni Circle, with more than 400 alumni lawyers.
